When Past & Future Collide
Life Along the Borderline: A Tribute to Nico
Curated by John Cale

For nearly 50 years, John Cale has thrived at the vanguard of a myriad of popular music styles. He founded the Velvet Underground, produced Patti Smith's landmark album Horses, and has collaborated with artists such as John Cage, La Monte Young, LCD Soundsystem, Danger Mouse, and more. This January, Cale comes to BAM to present two special programs: Life Along the Borderline: A Tribute to Nico and Paris 1919.

In  Life Along the Borderline: A Tribute to Nico, Cale is joined by a roster of artists—including the Magnetic Fields, Kim Gordon, and Sharon Van Etten, among others—to celebrate the legendary singer-songwriter and Andy Warhol protégé.
