Kate Zambreno and Lisa Cohen, two authors of genre-blending feminist books that ended up on top of plenty of "Best of 2012" lists, will be in conversation at Community tonight. Zambreno’s "Heroines" weaves together memoir and feminist literary scholarship, examining the minor roles to which women have been relegated in literary culture and criticism, while Cohen's "All We Know" tells the stories of three women connected with gay and feminist subculture during the Modernist era. Both books were heavily researched and extremely well-written, so expect a lively conversation.
