Description

Experience the endorphin-boosting powers of chili peppers at the third edition of this annual food fete presented by Chelsea Market, the Cleaver Company, and Dickson's Farmstand Meats. Competing for the title of Golden Chili Mug 2013, dozens of area restaurants including Delaney BBQ, Gramercy Tavern, Perla, Jimmy's No. 43, and Potlikker have signed on to serve up heaping portions of their spicy concoctions throughout the market's concourse. Dickson's supplies the beef, Samuel Adams is in charge of the beer, and Brooklyn-based band, the Dixons, provide the musical soundtrack. And when you're full and feeling that natural high, you'll be happy to know it benefited a good cause; a portion of the proceeds go to Food Systems Network NYC, a member organization devoted to building a vibrant, local farm and food economy.
