After spending a decade producing a constant stream of low-budget B movies, Roger Corman's 1967 hippie exploitation film "The Trip," finally made him a success. Written by Jack Nicholson, the film also starred Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper, two years before the "generation defining" Easy Rider came out in 1969. The film follows Peter Fonda, who plays a hot young TV commercial director, as he tries to shed his hang-ups by trying LSD for the first time, with Bruce Dern as his "guide."

A little dose of Hippie exploitation never hurt anyone.
